High School Staff
Classroom I - Judy Hall
Judy Hall came to Churchill Academy in 1997 and has taught in Classrooms E through high school. She received her Bachelors degree in Special Edcation from Troy State University in 1973, and later recieved her Masters in Specific Learning Disabilities from Auburn University Montgomery. Prior to coming to Churchill, Judy taught 25 years in the Montgomery Public Schools as a Learning Disability Resource teacher, Math and English LD Resourse Teacher/Inclusion Specialist. Judy states that she has been rewarded by "watching the children over the course of several years and seeing how far they have come socially and emotionally."

Classroom J (AM) - Tamira Fleming
Tamira Fleming came to us from the Gateway School in Arlington Texas where she taught math, science and computer to gifted students with special needs in fifth through twelfth grades. Prior to that time she taught for four years with both junior and senior high school students. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Tennessee State University and holds a Highly Qualified status under No Child Left Behind. She has a passion for teaching math and science in a "fun, interactive and multi-sensory fashion."

Classroom J (PM) - Leigh Parker
Leigh Parker came to Churchill Academy in the Fall of 2000. She graduated from Auburn University Montgomery with a degree in Psychology and is currently completing her special education degree, again at AUM. Leigh has taught in several of our classrooms including C, G and high school. Leigh sees her work at Churchill as a calling and believes that she is doing what she was "meant to do."

Math Science Computer - Mark Zienert
Mark S. Zienert is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy. While there, he received a Bachelors degree in General Studies, with a minor in Computer Science. He later earned his Masters Degree in Computer Resource Management from Webster University. Mark is also an Eagle Scout, BSA Leader (Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts). Mark teaches Science, Math, and Computer classes here at Chuchill. He says that he most enjoys "finding the switch...seeing the lightbulb go on when a student grasps a concept."
